Faulty , flaky switch mechanism, works great if it turns on...Jul 03, 2007 Wanted to love it too, like another reviewer, and its really cute and works great with icecubes from your fridge, BUT, very flaky turn on mechanism, does not turn on and stay on, have to press on top, etc to
get a contact, am going to try a different machine. The texture of the ice is not too fluffy, made large quantities in minutes when it worked...

Real Sno-conesJan 14, 2007 We have a lot of fun with our Old Fashioned snow cone maker. It has never given us a problem and makes sno-cones just like the carnivals used to.

Poor design - doesn't workAug 03, 2005 After hours of trying to get some shaved ice from this machine I gave up. It simply has no way of pushing the ice down to the blade in order to shave the ice. I have thrown this useless machine in the trash.
There are two positive reviews for this item, and I suspect they were written by employees of the company selling these machines, not honest reviewers.

Old Fashioned Snow Cone Maker Aug 03, 2005 This machine works great. No more manually turning to make shaved ice. My children love it.
